Learn about the economics of co-firing at WPAC 2017

Sept. 5, 2017 - Get a seat at the table to discuss how wood pellets can contribute to Canada’s low-carbon future at this year’s Wood Pellet Association of Canada AGM and Conference taking place in Ottawa Sept. 18-20.

The conference will feature speakers and sessions focused on policy and legislation, global markets, biomass co-firing opportunities, plant safety, new innovations, and more.

Speakers will include Capital Power’s Sandy Fleming, who will discuss the economic and policy conditions to encourage Canadian biomass conversions.

Another speaker, William Strauss, president and founder FutureMetrics, will discuss the economics of co-firing conversions, and how wood pellets can be part of Canada’s decarbonization strategy.

BONUS: WPAC is offering a pellet plant tour of Lauzon Recycled Wood Energy and a tour of an Okofen Boiler heating system in Papineauville, Que. This year’s conference also includes a Pellet Party: Celebrating 150 years of sustainable energy in Canada!
