Rembe introduces Ventex Passsive Explosion Isolation Valve

By Rembe Inc.

Rembe Inc. is proud to offer a comprehensive product line to meet any explosion protection needs that may arise. For instance, isolation of interconnected equipment is usually required per NFPA standards in order to prohibit the propagation of an explosion. The Ventex Passive Explosion Isolation Valve is a key product that fulfills many of these isolation applications. It is a very robust design that is certified to handle organic dusts, metal dusts, hybrid mixtures, and gases with one-way or two-way acting systems.

The function of this passive isolation valve is very simple. During normal operation, air flows through the valve and passes around the poppet on the inside. During an explosion, the poppet is forced shut by the explosion pressure wave and locked into place. This creates a seal in the process line and effectively prevents the spread of flames and pressure. Additionally, there are signalling devices included on all valves to indicate an explosion has occurred.

The Ventex valve joins the already robust Rembe arsenal of explosion isolation devices, including the Rembe Exkop system and the Q-Flap NX series inlet isolation device.

Rembe Inc., a member of the Rembe Alliance, www.Rembe.us, is a leader in manufacturing products for explosion protection and pressure relief systems designed to protect production facilities and personnel against the dangers of combustible dust explosions. For almost 40 years, Rembe Alliance has pioneered innovative technologies, such as the Q-Rohr-3 Flameless Indoor Explosion Venting System, which are used throughout the manufacturing world to improve plant and personnel safety.
