August 27, 2015 – Residents of Vermont are being given the opportunity to take advantage of a statewide tax incentive to switch from traditional power sources to wood pellets for heat.

According to a story from Vermont Business Magazine, residents have until the end of the year to switch to pellet heat and will receive up to $5,500 to do so.

The incentive is being offered by the Clean Energy Development Fund and Efficiency Vermont as a way to get Vermontans to switch to the cleaner energy resource while helping to support the state’s forest and biomass industries.
