The wood pellet sector is poised for transformation. Don’t miss this opportunity to join the dialogue at the upcoming Wood Pellet Association of Canada Conference, taking place in Vancouver Sept. 19-21.

Join moderator Gregg Koehler, sales manager with Sinclar Group/Premium Pellet Ltd. for a morning discussion on Sept. 20 when he sits down with local heroes who are making their communities stronger by investing in the wood pellet sector.

Panelists Roger Keery, president of Skeena Sawmills, Diane Collins from Kitsumkalum Economic Development Group, Jonathan Levesque from Biomass Solutions Biomasse and Paula Cook, senior energy engineer with the Government of Nova Scotia Public Works, will share how wood pellets are no longer just a solution for beehive burners, but are becoming local economic drivers and innovators.

The conference kick-off reception at the TAPshack is sure to be a hit with live musical entertainment provided by Paul Filek, singer/guitarist. Paul is a top 20 Canadian Idol finalist who uses a Looper Pedal to create his own band live on stage! Paul takes requests and something tells us we’re in for a few good ones from our WPAC delegates!

Also, don’t forget to sign up for one of our two pre-conference events: hit the greens for a full day of golf with colleagues across the industry or join us at the ENplus Training Workshop, which includes a visit to UBC’s wood pellet laboratory, where you can view testing equipment and the biomass heating plant.

Space is also still available for the post-conference tour of British Columbia’s spectacular north coast with stops in Terrace and Prince Rupert. To secure your spot, please email barbp@elantravel.ca or via phone at (250) 635-4008.
