New Argentinian law proposes reduction in soy-based biofuel blend amounts

A new law in Argentina, that will see a reduction in the amount of soy-based biofuel that can be mixed into domestically consumed diesel, is expected to result in increased soyoil exports and reduced prices internationally.
Argentina is the world’s largest exporter of soyoil. The South American country has developed a large biofuels industry.
The new law is looking at a minimum of five per cent biodiesel from a previous 10 per cent, and a possible reduction to three per cent.
