Pellet association releases full agenda for fall AGM and conference

The complete agenda for the 2019 Wood Pellet Association of Canada fall AGM and conference is now available, featuring speakers from coast to coast and abroad.

Taking place Sept. 24-25 in the nation’s capital, conference presentations will cover global pellet markets, sustainability and quality certifications, pellet plant safety, working with government, domestic heating market, and power utilities.

Speakers include Beth MacNeil, Assistant Deputy Minister with the Canadian Forest Service, Rick Taylor, head of fuels for Drax Power, Carsten Huljus, CEO of the Sustainable Biomass Program, Gilles Gauthier, general manager for the European Pellet Council, Jeff Waring, director general for trade economics, and industry branch of Natural Resources Canada, and many more.

This year’s safety keynote speaker is Spencer Beach, whose story of surviving a horrific fire includes important lessons about the dangers of complacency.
